Salesperson with Horticultural Education

Do you have good knowledge of gardens and plants - both indoors and outdoors, enjoy customer interactions, and are motivated by sales? Do you like to inspire, guide, and help customers succeed with their green projects? Then this could be the role for you!

At Plantagen, we want our customers to have a shopping experience and customer service beyond the expected. Our salespeople are knowledgeable, engaged, and contribute every day to making the store inspiring, well-stocked, and easy to shop in. We are now looking for a salesperson with horticultural education – a role for you who wants to combine your plant knowledge with a clear sales and customer focus. The position is a permanent employment of 23 hours/week, which will increase to about 33 hours/week during our peak season from April to June. We need you immediately!

About the Role

As a salesperson, you work closely with customers, provide advice in your sales, and contribute to ensuring that our customers feel comfortable and choose us as the obvious destination when they want to decorate with plants - both indoors and outdoors.

With us, customers find everything they need to cultivate life – from indoor and outdoor plants to pots, soil, tools, and inspiration. With your expertise, you help our customers make confident purchasing decisions and leave with well-filled shopping baskets and a renewed desire to cultivate.

Responsibilities

Your role includes, among other things:

  • Actively working with sales and customer experience
  • Advising and guiding customers on plants, cultivation, and gardening
  • Ensuring an inspiring and well-maintained store condition
  • Watering and caring for plants
  • Cash register work
  • Stock replenishment and display
  • Preparing for campaigns
  • Other tasks in the store

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has relevant horticultural education or equivalent practical experience
  • Has good knowledge of plants, cultivation, and gardening
  • Enjoys a sales and service-oriented role
  • Has experience from retail and/or the service industry (preferable)
  • Forklift license is a plus

Personal Qualities

You are outgoing, positive, and enjoy meeting people. You are happy to share your knowledge with both customers and colleagues and have a natural ability to create trust in customer interactions. You are solution-oriented, can prioritize in a busy environment, and are motivated by achieving results. For us, it is obvious that you, just like us, are driven by sales and good business.

The work involves being active for most of the day and may include heavier lifting, which means you need to have good physical ability.

We Offer

  • A lively and inspiring work environment in our greenhouse, both outdoors and indoors
  • Varied tasks in a sales-driven company
  • Wonderful colleagues and a strong team spirit
  • Development and career opportunities in the largest garden chain in the Nordics
  • Working hours that vary and include evenings and weekends
  • Salary according to collective agreement
  • Application deadline January 31, 2026
  • Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period

Application

In the next step of the application, you will answer a few short questions about yourself and your experience so that we can get to know you better. Selection and interviews are ongoing, which means that the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Welcome with your application today – we look forward to hearing from you!
